Daily Reminder on Work and Self-Reliance: #4 out of 21

Today I, ____________________, commit to work hard to achieve my goals.

“Do your best in your Church callings, schoolwork, employment, and other worthwhile pursuits.” – For the Strength of Youth

Try to think of a specific way that you can do better in your Church calling, schoolwork, employment, or other “worthwhile pursuit,” and set a specific, measurable, and attainable goal to accomplish it.

“When we have examined our own interests and abilities and when we have taken counsel from those who know and love us—especially the Lord—we need to seek both education and experience in our chosen career field. Education and training are among the most worthwhile investments anyone can make.

“Learn to love learning. Just as it is important to continue making deposits to a savings account, it is important to continue educating yourself in your chosen profession or career so that your skills will always be marketable. Just as a sailor keeps an eye on the horizon for changing weather, keeping up-to-date in your career will help you spot changing conditions in your field and make necessary course corrections.” – The Blessing of Work by H. David Burton

Have I prayed to my Father in Heaven for help and guidance in achieving my goals?
