Daily Reminder on Sexual Purity: #18 out of 21

I, ____________________, commit to be sexually pure. By my words and my actions, I will encourage others to do the same.

“Victims of sexual abuse are not guilty of sin and do not need to repent. If you have been a victim of abuse, know that you are innocent and that God loves you. Talk to your parents or another trusted adult, and seek your bishop’s counsel immediately. They can support you spiritually and assist you in getting the protection and help you need. The process of healing may take time. Trust in the Savior. He will heal you and give you peace.” – For the Strength of Youth

I, ____________________, commit seek help if I have been abused.

If you have been abused, I highly recommend reading Richard G. Scott’s talk Healing the Tragic Scars of Abuse. Set aside the time to read it, and then act on the counsel that God has given you through one of His chosen men. Know that it is possible to be healed, know that He knows you, and know that He loves you more than you could imagine.

Have I prayed to my Father in Heaven for help resisting temptation and overcoming inappropriate thoughts and feelings?
