Am I living my standards and beliefs even when no one is watching? Yes or No?
“Closely associated with honesty is integrity. Integrity means thinking and doing what is right at all times, no matter what the consequences… Choose to live so that your thoughts and behavior are always in harmony with the gospel.” – For the Strength of Youth
Think over your day and try to think if you have lived with honesty and integrity. Think of at least one thing you did wrong. Pray for help to do better next time.
Today I, ____________________, will be honest with myself, others, and God at all times.
“Integrity means thinking and doing what is right at all times, no matter what the consequences. When you have integrity, you are willing to live by your standards and beliefs even when no one is watching.” – For the Strength of Youth
Today and until June 21, I, ____________________, will strive to live with integrity by living by God’s standards even when no one is looking.
“The words integrity and honesty are closely associated and often used interchangeably. We must remember, however, that these terms are related but are not exactly the same.
“Integrity is the quality or condition of being whole, complete, unbroken, and undivided. The word integrity is related to other words with the same root such as entire and integrate. These expressions share the notion of being intact, sound, uncorrupted, and perfect. As Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles has explained: “Integrity means always doing what is right and good, regardless of the immediate consequences. It means being righteous from the very depth of our soul, not only in our actions but, more important, in our thoughts and in our hearts. Personal integrity implies such trustworthiness and incorruptibility that we are incapable of being false to a trust or covenant.”” – Be Honest by David A. Bednar
